Here’s What We Did

Durante Home Exteriors delivered some major WOW factor to Mr. and Mrs. Todd, a couple of fully satisfied customers who live over in Meadow Brook, a neighborhood Durante does work in very often.

Our customers were looking to renovate their old deck area. They had a faded old deck that was uncovered, had seen better days, and really just needed a makeover.

Mr. and Mrs. Todd wanted a new deck that would be open on one side so they would have a grilling area, but it also needed to be covered and screened in on the other side so they could have a nice covered sitting area. It was very important that the deck cover would match the existing roof line so that the addition would look natural. It was also important that the deck cover have a gutter system installed too.

Mr. and Mrs Todd now have a gorgeous outdoor area that they LOVE!

If company comes over, they now have plenty of room to entertain, grill out, etc. without feeling cramped. And if they just want to have a relaxing evening without a lot of people, they can do that too.

With their new screen room, they can be outside reading a book, enjoying the fresh air, but they don’t have to worry about insects.

If you look closely in some of the pictures, you will see that our workmen took the extra time to add an additional screen to the underside of the deck, so that bugs cannot enter from below.

The door leading out from the screen room also has a minimal threshold, so that the threshold will not be a tripping hazard.

The new deck is made out of maintenance free composite material. Composite will not warp, fade or splinter and required virtually zero maintenance. This means that the Todds will not have to spend time or energy on maintenance chores.

The handrail system is also an attractive compliment to the project. The maintenance free vinyl handrail posts feature a extra heavy duty steel post on the inside for maximum stability. These handrails are build to last for decades and not require maintenance.

Also, the Todd’s had an old entry door leading out of their basement, we replaced that too!
