Franklin, TN Composite Deck
Objective
To replace a builder-grade old wood deck on the back of a Franklin, TN Brownstone.
What We Did
The Cottingham’s are downright awesome people. They’re super nice and their home looks amazing! They live in a beautiful Brownstone home in Franklin. They moved to Franklin from Northern Virginia and downsized from their original home to something which required less upkeep.
They had an old builder-grade wood deck on the back of their home. There were signs of mildew and decay and the deck was beginning to splinter pretty badly. They needed more room and wanted a new deck so they could have a swanky place to hang out and entertain family and friends. They wanted to rebuild with composite.
The Cottingham’s came across Durante Home Exteriors in the Nashville Home Mag and called us to do a free site inspection on their old deck. They were looking for something permanent that would require minimal maintenance, plus they wanted to extend their existing deck to create a larger space. They also wanted us to build a custom bench so they would have a nice place to sit and relax, plus they also asked us to build a custom cabinet to enclose the unsightly electrical wires that ran into the home. We were able to build everything they wanted and we came in under the budget they had planned.

The Finished Project
The Cottingham’s picked out the ever-classy and elegant “Castle Grey” color which is always a top pick with customers. Now the Cottingham’s have a gorgeous new composite deck and they can spend their time enjoying their patio space instead of dealing with ongoing maintenance chores like they had before. They have more room to entertain, they have a custom bench for additional relaxing, and they have a custom cabinet to hide the unsightly wires.
